I am currently at the NIRSA Member Network Meeting in sunny Orlando, Florida checking out the Gaylord Palms for our 2025 Annual conference. This convention center is amazing and NIRSA Members should be getting excited (already) for the 2025 annual conference.
We have some exciting updates this month from NIRSA and the Region – specifically read more about the upcoming Region V conference in Fort Collins, CO.

We officially have State Student Leaders for our states for the upcoming year – please welcome our great student leaders!

Regional Conference October 8-10th, 2024 in Fort Collins, CO
- Exciting Pre-Cons like facility tours, brewery tours, and hikes!
- Student Lead-On /Student Track Program during the conference
- We will be offering presentations that are geared towards our student attendees – but not just for students!
- Student Track presentations will be focused on professional development, growth in recreation, and steps toward your next role.
- We are still accepting presentation proposals for both the overall program as well as Student Track presentations

Present at the NIRSA 2025 Annual Conference!
NIRSA has issued a call for proposals for the 2025 Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida. This signature event is rooted in helping professionals in higher education develop and maintain competencies in the field of campus recreation and wellbeing. Consider sharing your innovative practices and programs with your colleagues! Submit your application by July 15 for education sessions, roundtables, and panel presentations or July 31 for preconference workshops and seminars.
Facilitate an Ideas in Motion session
These roundtables are facilitator-led conversations in which members engage and connect with their peers virtually to collaborate and share challenges and solutions. If you are interested in helping facilitate a session, please complete the Ideas in Motion Interest form and a NIRSA staff member will reach out with additional information.
Stay informed about NIRSA Advocacy Efforts
The Government Affairs Committee encourages NIRSA members to keep themselves informed on federal and state policy issues affecting their work as professionals on campuses. Advocacy updates are available on NIRSA’s webpage.
