Educational sessions geared towards student attendees will be interspersed throughout the conference program. Our intention with making this shift from past conferences is to give students the opportunity to attend other preconference sessions to learn and network.
Students will learn how to incorporate 7 dimensions of wellness into their student career in order to expand their professionalism and overall well-being. Sessions will include activities such as assessing well-being and creating a personal mission statement. Presentations will touch on all aspects of wellness including: leadership skills, the importance of sleep, body image, financial wellness, stress relief, time management and more. Success begins with a balanced life!
Some of the additional topic examples will range from:
Ice breakers and teambuilding activities
Learn about various roles within the association including state student leaders and recruiting for those positions
Discussion panel with graduate assistants and entry-level professionals to learn from their experiences
Learning to navigate the national conference including the career opportunities center and
Updating your resume
How to be more thoughtful around social media use
Personal financial wellness
Holistic health around topics such as diet, exercise, and sleep
Applying your Strengths, positive psychology, and leadership
