The Regional Representative (2017-2019) and Student Leader (2017-2018) for Region V positions are open for the 2017 elections. Regional Nominations & Appointments Committees will recruit members, review applications and supporting materials, and determine the slate of candidates for each region. The final slate of candidates will be certified by the NIRSA Nominations & Appointments Committee and announced in mid-December 2016. Electronic elections will occur in January 18-30, 2017, with results announced shortly thereafter.
Candidates interested in serving as a Regional Representative or Regional Student Leader for Regions V must submit the following to elections@nirsa.org:
- Letter of Application, indicating interest, highlighting work experience and skills, and NIRSA involvement applicable to the position,
- Current resume
Deadline for this year’s application process is September 27, 2016. The committee will then invite finalists to submit the Regional Representative application package by November 8, 2016.
Selected Finalists will be invited to submit a complete application. The application, will include a brief bio, answers to specific leadership questions, three references, a photo and letter of institutional support. The final slate of candidates will be approved by the current NIRSA Board and announced in mid-December 2016. Electronic elections will occur January 18-30, 2017, with results announced shortly thereafter.
