Preconference Events

*Brookings’ “Bring Your Dreams” Tour ~ 10:00am-4:00pm~

Enjoy beautiful Brookings, South Dakota sport facilities, parks and breweries. Start on the SDSU campus and tour the Dana J Dykhouse Stadium and Student Jackrabbit Athletic Complex including an indoor 300 meter track. Climb the 184 steps of the SDSU campanile and decent to get free SDSU ice cream at the Dairy Bar where Cookies ‘n Cream was created. Move off campus to the Larson Ice Center; then the home of the world famous Daktronics scoreboards. Have lunch and taste test some local favorites in downtown at Wooden Legs Brewery. Head south of town to the Dakota Nature Park and Outdoor Adventure Center to try out your
skills at the indoor archery range. End the day at Eponymous Brewing Company to complete your Tour de Brookings! Transportation and lunch provided.

*Sioux Falls Sports Complex Tour ~ 10:00am-4:00pm~ (cancelled due to low registrations)

Experience the day in Sioux Falls touring state of the art sport facilities in the largest city in the state. Facilities will include the Denny Sanford Premiere Center, SCHEELS Iceplex, Canaries Baseball Stadium, Sanford Pentagon, Huether Family Match Pointe tennis facility. Stroll past the Sioux Falls Midco Aquatic Center and enjoy a bite to eat at the Blue Rock Bar & Grill Room. Transportation and lunch provided.

*Golf Outing at EdgeBrook Golf Course ~ 10:00am-4:00pm~

Enjoy a day on the links and network with the best in the Midwest. EdgeBrook Golf Course is an eighteen-hole facility with green grass tee-stand, driving range,
large practice green and chipping green. The regulation 18 holes play at 6,200 yards in a par of 70. The outing includes the round of 18 holes, cart, pin prizes
and lunch.

*Outdoor Mental Health Break ~ 10:00am-4:00pm~

Take the day to explore the outdoors in one of the most unique areas in South Dakota, Palisades State Park.  The day will include activities such as hiking on five different trail systems; paddle boarding or kayaking down Split Rock Creek; and climbing on or slacklining among the 50-foot vertical Sioux quartzite formations.  Studies have shown spending time in the outdoors can lead to significant health benefits, spend the day with us to work on your well-being.  Activities for all fitness levels.  Transportation, a picnic lunch and s’mores will be provided with registration.
